Even in death, we are a plague. The world as we know it has ended, replaced with a scarred landscape of chain link fences, the living dead and small groups of people, intent on survival. Trip is a survivor. And he has heard rumours... Rumours that this new world can be undone, simply by killing a man. Rumours that a single death could bring back his beloved. So he sets out on a journey through a ruined civilisation, joined by a member of a cult that worships the dead, an ex-policeman with a troubled mind and a woman who has embraced cannibalism as a way to survive the new world.
