Description
Plant physiology is a subdiscipline of botany concerned with the functionthe physiologyof plants. Closely related fields include plant morphology (structure of plants), plant ecology (interactions with the environment), phytochemistry (biochemistry of plants), cell biology, and molecular biology. Plant physiologists study plants' fundamental processes, such as photosynthesis, respiration, plant nutrition, plant hormone functions, tropisms, environmental stress, seed germination, dormancy and transpiration.
Selected Contents: Instrumentation Enabling Study of Plant Physiological Response to Elevated Night Temperature; Plant the FAST Technique: A Simplified Agrobacterium-Based Transformation Method for Transient Gene Expression Analysis in Seedlings of Arabidopsis and Other Species; A Rapid Method of Fruit Cell Isolation for Cell Size and Shape Measurements; Application of GC-MS for the Detection of Lipophilic Compounds in Diverse Plant Tissues; A Community Resource for High-Throughput Quantitative RT-PCR Analysis of Transcription Factor Gene Expression in Medicago Truncatula; Identification of a Cis-Regulatory Element by Transient Analysis of Co-Ordinately Regulated Genes; A Simple Way to Identify Non-Viable Cells Within Living Plant Tissue Using Confocal Microscopy; A Plant Resource and Experiment Management System Based on the Golm Plant Database as a Basic Tool for Omics Research; Multidimensional Fluorescence Microscopy of Multiple Organelles in Arabidopsis Seedlings; High Quality Metabolomic Data for Chlamydomonas reinhardtii; A Rapid, Non-Invasive Procedure for Quantitative Assessment of Drought Survival Using Chlorophyll Fluorescence; Optimized cDNA Libraries for Virus-Induced Gene Silencing (VIGS) Using Tobacco Rattle Virus; Evolution of Plant Senescence; Index
