Project Conserve: A Curriculum Covering Topics in Conservation Biology

EDUCATION / NATURE / LIFE SCIENCE. A science-based, K-12 curriculum covering topics in conservation biology and relevant environmental issues while incorporating activities usable in other disciplines. Science objectives are carefully designed to align with the National Science Education Standards.

Includes 12 units: Basic Needs of Plants and Animals; Impacts of Humans on the Environment; Life Cycles and the Environment; Basic Ecology Concepts; Physical and Behavioral Adaptations; Organisms Adapt to a Constantly Changing Environment; Factors That Affect Distribution and Abundance of Organisms; Biodiversity and Human-Caused Extinctions; Conservation and Conservation Biology As a Science; Population Biology; Resource Management; and Environmental Legislation.
