📖 Description
This is the only fully-documented history of the earliest days of the Pentecostal Church of God. Originally founded in 1919 as the Pentecostal Assemblies of the USA, the demonination folded and reorganized as the Pentecostal Church of God in 1922. Martin has done extensive research on the origins of the movement, but particularly on its early leaders. Biographies of each of the early movers and shakers are included. A few of the leaders in the book are George Brinkman, John Sinclair, Edward Matthews, A. D. McCure, Ric Field, Silas Shephard, Osborne Gilliland and Alfred Worth. Photographs of some early leaders are published for the first time.
