The Labyrinth: A Secret Uncovered... And Kept

The Vatican has hired cavers Kevin McQueen and Petrena Hambrick, an archaeologist named Professor Mullins, and an equipment specialist known as Tide to explore the labyrinthine catacombs beneath the city and map a new one found unintentionally by a young boy, the son of a priest, Father Giovanni. But do they really want to find what they claim? Or is there another secret? The Keepers were charged with keeping the catacombs sacred, and keeping the history of the Church where it belongs – firmly in the past. With the new discovery, however, a darker secret is threatened with coming to light. How far will they go to protect it? As Kevin and Petrena explore each other, the exploration of the halls of secrets beneath Vatican City uncovers what the Church is really looking for, threatening more than lives. They want it found – and conveniently forgotten. In the nearly airless blackness of stone chambers deep in the earth, Kevin must find a way out for all of them – or the life he now knows he wants with Petrena will be snuffed out.
