Crystal Fragments

This is a story of a person who loved he "Fatherland". Even in his darkest hour he made the distinction between the German people, whom he highly respected and the cruel regime by which they too were enslaved. The conflict between those who saw the rise of Adolf Hitler as a short term tyrant and those who realized that he was the voice of the barbaric Hun dormant in the German psyche is masterfully revealed in this story of father and son who ultimately become a microcosm of those years before Germany devoured its own.
