The Secret Source of Strength

Discover your secret source of strength within! Mothering is a holy occupation that produces a mixture of jubilation and tribulation. From watching your child take his/her first steps to watching him/her drive off in your car, the path of mothering is full of pitfalls and potholes. We all feel desperate for help--for a secret source of strength. We have one! With God we can have a daily dose of fresh fire--holy fire, heaven-sent fire. The fire of God is readily available to fall on us and to consume the remants of the things of the world in us. Fresh fire is ours for the asking! Cue the prophet. Elijah is a man with a nature like ours--a rather ordinary character who is brave enough to trust himself to an extraordinary God. The Bible tells us that Elijah calls down fire from heaven. As Christians we pray for spiritual fire to fall and consume our living sacrifice. Busy moms, whether you are teaching toddlers or training teens, the study of Elijah will strengthen you as it sets your heart ablaze with holy fire!
