James Weldon Johnson (1871-1938) was a prolific writer of novels and poetry. His work has been linked to the Harlem Renaissance. In this volume Elizabeth J. Hester provides a comprehensive listing of doctoral dissertations, and master's and bachelor's theses that deal primarily with the life and work of James Weldon Johnson.
