NX 7 BASIC METHODS AND APPLICATIONS (DESIGNING FOR CHANGE)

Click and Pick training has been the standard for years and proven to be ineffective. This book approaches the basics of Siemens NX7-7.5 with industry proven methods and techniques to design parts for change and manufacturing. It is believed that new users should learn tools using function and application training that emphasizes good design habits from the start. The methodology presented in this manual is intended to provide direction and guidance for creating robust, parametrically driven parts. This course provides exercises and assignments enabling the beginning student to experience the interaction of commonly used basic design tools available in NX7-7.5. Students are guided through seven step-by-step exercises focusing on Part Design, Sketcher, Drafting, and Assembly Design modules. Students are also provided with six part drawings for 3D model creation using methods, techniques, and functionality required in the exercises. Completed Product and NX Parts are available as verification of lessons learned. This book can be used for all versions of NX7. This is the first edition and may have be updated.
