This 6-page laminated reference guide provides an easy-to-follow 10-step procedure for the strength design of masonry in accordance with the 2009 IBC and the 2008 MSJC Code. Masonry design by the strength design method must meet the strength design provisions in IBC Section 2108, which requires the design to comply with seismic requirements of IBC Section 2106 and Chapters 1 and 3 of the MSJC Code with some modifications.
