Jesus and Mary - Husband and Wife? Who Were They and What Was Their Relationship?

The newly discovered, "Gospel of Jesus' Wife," revealed to the public in September of 2012, has reignited controversy over what is now mounting evidence that Jesus may have been married. Gospels and letters, some hidden by the church and some lost until recently, tell the story of who Jesus was, what he looked like, and who he married. Jesus of Nazareth and Mary of Magdala, were they husband and wife? The evidence is piling up. The disciples said to Jesus, "... ... Mary is worthy of it ... ..." Jesus said to them, "My wife ... ... she will be able to be my disciple ... (Gospel of Jesus’ Wife) - And the companion (Consort) was Mary of Magdala. The Lord loved Mary more than all the other disciples and he kissed her often on her mouth (the text is missing here and the word is assumed). The others saw his love for Mary asked him: “Why do thou love her more than all of us?” The Savior replied, “Why do I not love you in the same way I love her?” (Gospel of Philip) - Peter said to Mary; “Sister we know that the Savior loved you more than all other woman. Tell us the words of the Savior that you remember and know, but have we heard and do not know. Mary answered him and said; “I will tell you what He hid from you.” (Gospel of Mary Magdalene) - 114.
