John 3:16 has often been referred to as the message of the gospel in a nutshell. "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." In similar fashion 1 Tim. 3:16 has been referred to as the ministry of the God-Man in a nutshell.
