Embankment (A Mildred Budge Adventure)

Murder is a-foot and so is Mildred Budge in this newest installment in The Mildred Budge series and follow-up to Cloverdale. In The Embankment, Mildred Budge and the other members of the pulpit committee crash into the bottom of a ravine after a close encounter with a deer. With a storm likely that could bring a flash flood, a serial widow on the loose and infidelity in the air, the committee must work together to get home. For Mildred Budge, climbing up after taking a fall is akin to taking a step in faith. Some steps are bigger and more dramatic than others, but each one leads to a closer relationship with the One who may not send a helicopter when you think you need, one but whose love never fails.
