By definition, grants include the concept of benefit to the public and society. In myself and colleagues, I've observed that caring and passionate people with various skills and prior experiences are drawn (accidentally or on purpose) to develop their grant seeking abilities in order to bring much-needed funding for programs and services that help others. The GrantepreneurTM career and business model takes the purpose of grants into consideration through social enterprise and community-oriented business concepts, and does not promote incompatible big business practices.
