From 10-8 To 10-7 I Lived My Dream: Stories From A Police Officer

For twenty-one years, I had the greatest job in the world. I worked overnight shifts, day shifts, even afternoon shifts. I have seen the best in people; I have seen the worst. I have seen good people pushed beyond their limits; I have seen evil people doing evil things. I have laughed, cried, and at times, was even scared. I worked beside people whom I trusted with my life, and they trusted me with their lives. Through it all, I looked forward to working every day, and every shift. I can not think of a time that I did not want to go to work. After all, I was living my dream. A dream I had since I was a very, young boy; the dream of becoming a police officer. After my retirement from law enforcement in 2005, with a little encouragement from my three children, I wrote out some of my more memorable experiences as a police officer. My children enjoyed listening to these stories as they grew up; I hope you will too.
