Electrochemistry in Organic Synthesis

The purpose of this book is to give a brief, yet profound and practical introduction to organic electrosynthesis. In the introductory chapter, the authors provide the theoretical foundations. They describe the instrumentation, including the properties of electrodes, the influence of solvent and of supporting electrolytes. Fundamentals of electrochemical reactions and properties of electroactive groups in the substrate are outlined with practical examples. Indirect electrochemical methods, recently developed, are also considered. The authors have vast experience from many years of research in electrochemistry. The book will beused as a reference book by advanced students and organic chemists.
