Trade and Tax Policy, Inflation and Exchange Rates: A Modern View (Studies in International Economics and Institutions)

This book deals with a broad range of problems in international economics. The book analyses economic problems in stabilisation policy, exchange rate regimes and international trade policy and taxation. It contains a comprehensive analysis of important problems in international economics in the 1980s and 1990s. The first part of the book deals with anti-inflation policies in open economies, where exchange rate regimes play a crucial role. The monetary analysis is combined in the second part with a discussion on recent advances in real trade theory and its applications. The volume is a result of a co-operation between the Universities of Tel Aviv (Israel) and Konstanz (Germany).
