Effective Rehabilitation of Reinforced Concrete Framed Buildings: A Fundamental Approach

Reinforced concrete (RC) framed buildings are prevalent across the world because of its economical cost of construction, versatility of usage and durability. However, situations such as change in use, aging, design and construction errors, earthquake occurrence and etc can lead to severe impairment of the load carrying capacity and durability of reinforced concrete buildings. All over the world, failed building reconstruction projects abound and the problem could be traced to lack of expertise and requisite information about the fundamental framework of building rehabilitation. In this book, the various processes required for an effective repair and strengthening of reinforced concrete framed buildings were discussed.
