Animal Nutrition deals with the nature of nutrient and establishes their role in metabolism, the assessment of which necessitates analysis of variety of biological materials such as feed, faeces, urine etc. The analytical technique involved in animal nutrition, therefore, needs to be well documented to meet the requirements of students/nutrition workers. This text represents an attempt to summarize and consolidate a considerable amount of information relative to laboratory procedures and experimental techniques that are used commonly in animal nutrition studies.
