Metallic silver in the form of silver nanoparticles has made a remarkable comeback as a potent antimicrobial agent. The most prominent nanoparticles for medical uses are nanosilver particles which are known for their high antimicrobial activity. Silver ion has been known as a metal ion that exhibit antimildew, antimicrobial and anti fungal properties for a long time.
