Modelling the Future Development of Renewable Energy Technologies in the European Electricity Sector Using Agent-based Simulation (ISI-Schriftenreihe Innovationspotenziale)

Increasing the share of renewable energy sources in final energy consumption forms an important part of the EU's energy and climate strategy. An agent-based simulation model is developed to assess future diffusion processes of renewable energy technologies under different policy regimes. The developed model helps to design support policies, or point out existing investment opportunities for interested stakeholders.
