Composite Materials: Processing and technology: Advancements in Prepreg processing & technology

This work is based on studies carried out ininternship at Henkel AG & Co. KGaA during summer2009. Its a compilation of discoveries made,practices developed and inventions made during thewhole work. The work is divided into three sections,Namely Preparation of glass/epoxy laminates by VacuumAssisted Resin Infusion process (VARI), Production of film by BESCHCHITUNG and Drum winding of carbon fiber for production of prepreg laminates. Each section explaining in detail the processes, methods and ways to improve and yield products.
