Sea Surface Temperature Variations Near Thermal Power Plants: Requirements for Meeting Water Quality Regulation for Thermal Discharges

The lack of specific guidelines for management of thermal discharges from thermal power plant facilities such as coal-fired thermal power plants from the Philippine Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) motivated the conceptualization of this dissertation work by the author and her adviser from the Marine Science Institute of the University of the Philippines. Results of this study can be used as guide in developing specific guidelines for management of thermal discharges from coal-fired thermal power plants in the Philippines.
