Southern India Nelles map (English, French and German Edition)

As part of a series of maps covering all of South Asia, this map of India South shows the area from Mumbai (Bombay) and Visakhapatnam south to include all of Sri Lanka at a scale of 1:1,500,000 (1" to 24 miles). The cartographer uses shaded relief to highlight the mountains and lowlands. All the major roads and many minor ones are shown, as are the railways, airports places of interest, archaeological sites, National parks and beaches. Distances between major centers are also shown. Inset maps show the Andaman and Nicobar Islands and also the Amindivi and Cannanore Islands of Lakshadweep. Other insets show Thiruvananthapuram (Trivandrum), Hyderabad, Chennai (Madras) and Bangalore and Goa in greater detail so that shopping areas, Temples, Mosques and Churches, major buildings and hotels can be shown.
