Die römischen Amphoren im Umland von Mainz (FRANKFURTER ARCHAOLOGISCHE SCHRIFTEN) (German Edition)

In this study the author assembles the Roman amphora of the area around the German city of Mainz. All pieces are documented with fotos and descriptions. Analyses of Mediterranian imports, local production, and nourishment habits show that many previous approaches have to be revised and allow new interpretation of Roman amphora.
