JA99 Living Space Kazuyo Sejima (Japan Architect) (English and Japanese Edition)

JA99 Autumn 2015 is a special issue focused on the residential projects by Kazuyo Sejima. From her very first house Platform (1988) to Gifu Kitagata Apartment Sejima Wing (2000) to the most recent Inujima Project (2007-), the issue features 29 works of "living space" by both Sejima and SANAA, the practice led with her partner Ryue Nishizawa. Some of the photos, including the cover photo, were taken by photographer Takashi Honma specially for this issue. In the project descriptions - written by the architect - Sejima shares her thoughts she had while designing a project and the developments of the ideas in subsequent works. Architect Arata Isozaki, who has observed Sejima's works since her early career, discusses her stance toward architecture and how people live in the 21st century.
