This is a reprint of the first magazine for middle-class women edited by Samuel and Isabella Beeton.
The complete issues of the first four years (1852-54), which are now very hard to collect, are reproduced here in an enlarged format.
The collection is an interesting primary source for Victorian Studies and Women's History and a major contribution to our understanding of Victorian society and culture.
