This book is a Russian translation of one of the books in the series 'Illustrated World History' which also includes "First Civilizations", "The Greeks", and "World History in Dates". This series examines everyday lives of the world's oldest cultures and civilizations. The book "Romans" (as well as the current translation, "Rimliane"), which was first published in 1990, covers history of Ancient Rome from the founding of the city of Rome to the decline and fall of the Roman Empire: the full review of the period with aspects of everyday life. Topics such as history, sociology, politics, economy, culture and religion are covered.
