This book is a summary of the diverse lines of work that define the newborn field of the philosophy of chemistry; in each one of these lines it is briefly considered the most important causes for the relative obscurity of chemistry, and how the rising blossoming of the task in philosophy of chemistry part of it documented in this volume- has helped this science to be more visible and accepted as an optimal subject of critical reflection inside and outside the laboratory. By this means one of the goals of this book is achieved: increase the presence of chemistry from a philosophical perspective.
