Bromborough, Wirral, 25 August 1946) is a British author who has written extensively about popular music. He is regarded as a leading authority on the life and work of Bob Dylan. In 1972, Gray published the first critical study of Dylan's work; he is the author of Song & Dance Man III: The Art Of Bob Dylan and the Bob Dylan Encyclopedia.
