Kathryn Lasky

Kathryn Lasky (born June 24, 1944) is an American author whose work includes several Dear America books, The Royal Diaries books, Sugaring Time, The Night Journey, and the Guardians of Ga'Hoole series. Lasky grew up in Indianapolis, and is married to Christopher Knight, with whom she lives in Cambridge, MA. She is also a non-fiction writer of other books. Book 15, The War of the Ember, was the last book in the Ga'Hoole series. In 2010, Lasky released The Lone Wolf, part of the new series, Wolves of the Beyond, which takes place near the owls of Ga'Hoole.
