Practising English: Workbook

This is meant for 1st and 2nd semester undergraduate students at Kuvempu University, Karnataka. The workbook is basically aimed at making the learning of reading skills, vocabulary, grammar and everyday oral communication effective. It focuses on helping students acquire language skills, improve their vocabulary and gain better understanding of the use of grammar. The passages used for honing students reading comprehension skills are descriptive, narrative, expository and argumentative. Some of the passages are contemporary in theme, style and outlook. The book also includes exercises in vocabulary building, grammar, and oral skills.
Each unit is followed by the glossary, the comprehension, language activity which helps students improve their communication skills.
