Nuclei at Extremes of Isospin and Mass

In recent years there have been many advances in the understanding of the nuclear structure and dynamics in the extreme conditions of spin (high angular momentum states), isospin (drip line nuclei) and mass (super heavy elements). There are new challenges in the synthesis and study of nuclei far away from the beta-stability region. This book focuses on the present status and future possibilities in this field and provides the state of the art information on the experimental and theoretical developments.
