The book claims that identification of children with Learning Disabilities (LD) and teacher awareness of LD go together. Each author takes a position with respect to defining LD, refining assessment, and helping students identified with LD. The book deals with innovative, theory-driven approaches to assessment and remediation, while focusing on contextual issues.
