About the Author: Dr AT Kulkarni has done graduation from Mahadevappa Rampure Medical College (MRMC), Gulbarga (Karnataka) and postgraduation from Dr VM Medical College, Solapur (Maharastra) in the year 1981. Since last 40 years, he is deeply involved in teaching undergraduate and postgraduate students in community medicine. He has worked in various capacity in various medical colleges like MRMC - Gulbarga, RMC - Loni, MIMSR - Latur and as professor and principal of MIMER Medical College, Talegaon, Pune. He also has an opportunity to work at SUT Medical College, Trivandrum for a period of 5 years. Since last 2 years, he is working as the Professor in Community Medicine at Navodaya Medical College, Raichur. He has been appointed as both internal and external examiner for various universities in Karnataka, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh and Kerala since 1986 until date for undergraduates and postgraduates in community medicine. He is involved in various research activities and undergraduate training in field practice area.
