Value Education

This book enables the learners to identify the desirable behaviour in an inherent way to come up with excellence for the benefit of others. Values are precious and give meaning and strength to a person's character by occupying the central place in one's life. Values are many and classified based on relevance and one can easily introspect and assess the inculcation of values through behaviours as values are explicitly shown in behaviours. In this world of confusion and chaos enriched with injustice, values alone can channelise in the desired direction. Value education thus is an ante dote for a confused mind. Values are like the rails that keep the train on the track and enable it to move smoothly and quickly with direction. Values are intrinsic motives and propel the individuals to have high esteem in their characters. Moreover values and virtues are not hereditary; they are learned. Values help us to get our priorities and our choices right if we need to make an impact on the next generation effectively. Thus value education learnt by pre-service teachers will equip them mentally to face the world with accountability. This book is an effort to establish that insight.
