French artist Sara’s simple yet forceful collage art evokes revolt, repression, and war, but also immutable freedom in the face of tyranny. Her torn-paper technique draws the reader into and beyond the struggle for liberty. This English-language edition includes an introductory essay on various people’s revolutions and struggles.

Sara is an artist who lives and works in Paris. Her books include La laisse rouge, A Quai, and the play S’envoler. In 2006, pieces from Revolution were shown in several museums in Japan.
