Concept of Man in the Light of Allama Muhammad Iqbal

This book presents a brief sketch and makes an exposition of the concept of man as perceived by Iqbal with special reference to the Quran. Man according to Iqbal, as also mentioned by the Quran, is the vice-gerent of God on earth. Man is assigned the duty to administer the world and thereby to become the trustee of this world. For this purpose man is to pass through some stages of educational training i.e. obedience to law, self-control and divine vicegerent. Iqbal has tried to elevate the Muslim Ummah through his philosophy. For this purpose man is to know his own self (Khudi). Thus the questions like the purpose of creation of man by Allah, his destiny in this world and hereafter and how to attain this destiny become relevant and important. This short book has tried to find answers to these questions.
