Sequential Methods in Statistics

The 18th Semester at the Stefan Banach International Mathematical Center (September 7 - December 11, 1981) was devoted to Mathematical Statistics, with only one main and almost exclusive topic, namely sequential methods. As many as 123 mathematicians and people interested in statistics from 16 countries, and among them many recognized specialists, contributed to the four-month international research meeting in statistics. The volume contains research papers and survey papers prepared in connection with the Semester or stimulated by the informal discussions, lectures, seminars and the unique atmosphere of the Banach Center.
