Brasil, Coração do Mundo, Pátria do Evangelho (Portuguese Edition)

This book is the “revelation of a country’s collective mission” as defined by the Spirit Emmanuel in the preface. It was dictated to Francisco Candido Xavier in 1938 by the spirit author, who in later works used the pseudonym Brother X. He analyses facts concerning Brazil’s history, aiming at demonstrating the nation’s evangelizing mission and Jesus’ supervision of the country’s evolutionary progress. Using data gathered in the spirit realm, the spirit author comments on slavery, the nativist movements, Brazil’s Independence, the War with Paraguay, Spiritism and the Spiritist Movement in Brazil. He explains the mission of Brazil as “the spiritual heart of the earth”, evidenced by the spontaneous and enormous welcoming of the Spiritist Doctrine, codified by Allan Kardec, encouraging people to practice the Gospel of Jesus in order to spread peace and fraternity to all humankind.
