A Self Study Guide for Online BITSAT 2016 (Old Edition)

For admitting meritorious students into first year of the various BE (Hons.) course at all its three campuses (Pilani, Goa and Hyderabad), the Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS), Pilani conducts a combined computer-based test. The test is conducted online at the centers designated by the institute. The present study package for Online BITSAT 2016 has been divided into three sections namely - Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics, each sub-divided into number of chapters as per the syllabi of the Online BITSAT 2016 and covering the NCERT syllabus for classes XI & XII comprehensively. The Physics section has been divided into 33 chapters namely Units, Measurements & Dimensions, Scalars & Vectors, Rotational Motion of Rigid Body, Waves Motion, Sound Wave, Gravitation, Electric Charge, Magnetic Field, Universe, etc whereas the Chemistry section covers Mole Concept, Atomic Structure, Lighter Metals, Metallurgy, Hydrocarbons, Solution, Periodic Properties, Chemical Thermodynamics, Carbonyl Compounds, Nitrogen Containing Compounds, etc. The Mathematics section has been divided into 27 chapters namely Complex Number, Sequences & Series, Matrices, Application of Derivatives, Trigonometry, Vectors, Conic Sections, Statistics, Three Dimensional Geometry, etc.English Proficiency and Logical Reasoning have been provided at the end after chapterwise study. Also practice exercises along with detailed and accurate solutions have been provided at the end to help aspirants revise the concepts discussed in each chapter. The book also contains last 11 years' (2005-2015) Solved Papers of BITSAT to help aspirants get an insight into the examination pattern and the types of questions asked therein. Additionally, this book comes with a CD containing 6 Mock Tests for Online BITSAT 2016 based on the computer based test for through preparation and self assessment.
