Guidance essential for appropriate resolution of the various crises that arise is usually provided by teachers, parents, and peer group. However, given the complexity of modern life, the transitional nature of society, an increasing variety in the nature and extent of individual problems, trained counsellors are required for providing adequate guidance to the youth.
