📖 Description
Nicolás Gómez-Dávila was born in Bogotá on May 18, 1913. At six, his family moved to Paris, where he attended a Benedictine school. As a teenager, a seriuos pneumonia confined him to bed for almost two years, a condition which forced him to continue his education at home, with private teachers. He returned to Bogotá at twenty-three. There he married Emilia Nieto Ramos, with whom he had three chidren. He secluded himself thenceforth in his library, devoting himself to ponder, read, study and write. He died there on May 17, 1994.
