THE ORPHIC HYMNS. An essay on Astronomy of the late Pleistocene. This book contains the ancient text of the 88 extant hymns, along with their transfer to the English language. A detailed investigation reveals that within the caves of the last Ice Age, i.e. during the Middle Palaeolithic, the Greeks had laid the foundations of Astronomy, first science of Man. Supported by the belief that the earth is round, they crossed the "famous Oceanus" to the "opposite continent", that is Atlantis or America. Their astronomical knowledge reached such heights as those of the Zodiac and the 12 signs, Precession or Metaptosis, third motion of the earth and even "equality of seasons".
