Well, not only columnists need that strong stomach. Every blogger does too. You can't publish your thoughts publicly and not open yourself to attacks from the left, right, up and down. And people on the net can be especially nasty, feeling smug as they do behind their anonymity. I only have one strategy for getting through a nasty day. I visit Jay's Kwentong Tambay. If it's the first blog I visit, I feel ready to dismiss any kind of nastiness with one eyebrow raised. Sometimes sentimental, sometimes thoughtful, almost always outrageously irreverent and funny.
