It provides detailed instruction and engine specifications for repair of single cylinder, side valve, Briggs and Stratton engines. The manual also includes troubleshooting and diagnostic tests and most repair procedures are illustrated. There are sections on engine model identification, tools, and safety as well as sections on specific engine systems. The manual covers repair of engines from the most recently produced to those manufactured several decades ago. This manual does not cover the repair of Briggs and Stratton twin cylinder or overhead valve engines.
