Assistive devices are products or tools that are used to improve the functional capabilities of a disabled person. Most people think of hearing aids or wheelchairs as assistive devices but software and hardware options such as voice screen readers for the blind and the reduction of cluttered screen icons for the learning disabled also fall into this category.
