This IDC study analyzes the mobile market opportunity in Switzerland. In addition to identifying the key trends currently shaping the market, the study profiles all the wireless operators.

"The Swiss mobile market continues to be dominated by the incumbent, Swisscom Mobile in terms of subscribers," said Paolo Pescatore, a senior analyst with IDC's European Wireless and Mobile Communications service. "However, the market has been very competitive and Swisscom Mobile is closely followed by Orange and sunrise (TDC Switzerland). The operators have been differentiating themselves through handsets as well as service offering. Swisscom has been working closely with its shareholder and partner, Vodafone, to launch Vodafone's GPRS/3G PC card as well as Vodafone live! Orange has launched its exclusive signature phones. While sunrise has been introducing some innovative packages as well as interesting content by expanding its range of content providers."
