This IDC study presents our latest Communications Survey findings related to small enterprise users' telecommunications preference. IDC's Communications Survey is an annual undertaking to measure urban enterprise and small business telecommunications and Internet usage trends and preferences across in the Asia/Pacific region. This year we present findings from 11 markets. The study answers questions such as:
How current economic and business cycles are affects budgets for the coming year? Which products are seeing increased interest from enterprises users? Which products are nearing the end of their life cycles? How prevalent is outsourcing for IT and telecommunications networking? Is uptake increasing or is it already slowing? How do budgetary fluctuations affect telecommunications usage and purchasing decisions?"These latest findings solidify our understanding of the product and service uptake profiles of the small enterprise organizations within the region and verify the continuing attention given by small enterprise managers to strict return on investment as well as basic communications tools and services," says Renee Gamble, IDC Asia/Pacific, research manager, Telecommunications Research.
