From the supplier: InfoWindow combines visual images and auditory effects with computer text to create real-world situations for learners of all ages and backgrounds. IBM's system consists of a touch-sensitive video display unit, a personal computer and an optional videodisc player. Still images and film or video footage are combined with text and graphics from the computer to teach math to elementary school students, techniques in the treatment of gunshot wounds to emergency room staff, or the dangers of drugs to adolescents. The system can be used by one or many students at one time, be run at an individual's pace and repeated as needed. It can be used as on-site professional or vocational training and is significantly more effective than traditional instruction methods.
